Bio Logbook was created in 2015 under the impetus of Ronan Boutin who wanted to apply his statistics expertise to the healthcare field in the interest of public good. Bio Logbook quickly won support from stakeholders in the innovation and healthcare worlds. Data scientist Jakez Rolland and business development manager Arnaud Leclève then joined the venture to help develop the initiative.

The Team

Ronan Boutin

CEO, Founder & Head of R&D

As a methods engineer and statistics optimization expert, Ronan began working closely with experts and healthcare professionals to adapt his industrial know-how to the healthcare field. His ambition is to help bring better health to the many, enable the early detection of illnesses and reduce misdiagnosis.

Arnaud Leclève

Co-founder & Managing Director

Passionate about people, Arnaud developed his skills while assisting large corporations with their HR challenges and in managing a sales team within a cooperative group.  He then joined the Bio Logbook venture to develop the potential of the innovation for the public good.

Jakez Rolland

Data scientist, IT developer & partner

Involved in the project from a very early stage, Jakez brings all of his expertise in software solution development and the optimization of statistical models to the business. He is currently pursuing this work as part of a three-year doctoral thesis within Nantes Laboratory of Digital Sciences.

Marie Codet

Data scientist

Having graduated from the INSA Lyon engineering school in Sciences and Industrial Technologies with Biosciences and a specialization in bioinformatics and modelling, Marie wanted to join Bio Logbook to apply the theoretical and practical skills she had gained during her academic training in statistics and applied mathematics in biology.

Leila Equinet

PhD, Head of Innovation

Doctor in molecular biology in the medical field, Leila has more than 15 years of experience in the Innovation Ecosystem. She started her career in research and technology transfer at the University of Orleans. She then joined the INPI to assist digital startups and innovative companies in their innovation protection strategy and in setting up research partnerships.

Clément Bézier

Engineer – Biological engineering

Polytech Engineer in Biological and Health Engineering, specialized in R&D and innovation of health products. In addition to a strong experience as a laboratory technician in medical biology, Clément uses his knowledge in biology to participate in Bio Logbook’s research and development effort. He is currently preparing a CIFRE thesis in biostatistics.

The Scientific Committee

To develop the added-value of our innovation in line with the needs of healthcare ecosystems, Bio Logbook relies on the expertise of a scientific committee comprising university professors, doctors, researchers and biologists. This committee is available for us to consult on key scientific challenges and the added value that the innovation can bring to medical research and practice.

Jacques-Olivier Pers

Clinical professor & research team director of INSERM “B-cell and autoimmunity” research unit 1227

Jacques-Olivier’s immunopathology and immunotherapy research work specializes in the study of normal and pathological B cells. Modelling is studied for autoimmune diseases, lymphoproliferative disorders and the rejection of kidney transplants.

Pascal Pujol

Clinical professor, medical genetist and cancer research specialist

Pascal is a medical professor at Montpellier medical school and Head of the Oncogenetics department at Montpellier teaching hospital. He currently chairs the French society of predictive and personalized medicine. He has also co-authored over 100 international research publications.

Karim Si-Tayeb

Teacher-researcher in biology at Nantes Thorax Institute

Karim is specialized in the differentiation of human-induced pluripotent stem cells and disease modelling. He is currently helping to reduce cardiovascular events among hypercholesterolemic patients using precision medicine.

Damien Eveillard

Teacher-researcher in bioinformatics at Nantes Laboratory of Digital Sciences

Damien is an expert in biological systems modelling for living things. He leads the Combinatorial and Bioinformatics team which develops algorithms and mathematics for the study of biology related issues. The team’s key research areas are comparative genomics and systems biology.

Pierre-Jean Lamy

Medical Biologist – Director of Imagnome

Specialist in solid tumour biomarkers, he has coordinated the Cancer Biobank of the Institute of Montpellier and has led many translational research projects on prognostics and predictive biomarkers. His research aims to improve personalized medicine for cancer patients through a focus on targeted molecular agents and biomarkers.

The Strategic Committee
